Igniting the spark of curiosity in the minds of the next generation is paramount, as Tasmania’s future innovators and leaders! In 2017, we gave birth to Generation Hydro, an important education program designed to kindle excitement and passion for STEM subjects among primary and secondary students across Tasmania.

Specialist power and water consulting firm Entura has been selected by the Department of Irrigation of the Government of Nepal and the Asian Development Bank to deliver consulting services for the investigation and detailed engineering design of the Nagmati Dam.

Hydro Tasmania and the Cressy Longford Irrigation Scheme (CLIS) have struck a deal that will see irrigators get more water in winter to store and save for summer irrigation. Irrigators will have access to 8,500ML of winter water (up from 5,000ML), taking advantage of the higher water availability during that period.
