Contract pricing

We are obliged to produce the Tasmanian wholesale regulated prices using the legislated methodology in the Wholesale Contract Regulatory Instrument and complemented by the Electricity Wholesale Contract Guideline, both of which are available on the website of the Tasmanian Economic Regulator.

Contracting with us

To contract with us under the regulated process, you need to meet the requirements of the instrument and the guideline.

Please apply using the appropriate template. This example template will help you. We reserve the right to reject applications that are inconsistent with the template.

Please see below for this week's regulated offer prices and volumes.

Wholesale price calculation

The wholesale pricing calculation tool helps you calculate the regulated weekly offer contract prices, as defined in the ‘Electricity Wholesale Contract Guideline’.

This model is current for the Wholesale Contract Regulatory Instrument that commenced 1 July 2024.

Notes

  • Since 1 July 2024, the model is published each week as per the Electricity Wholesale Contract Guideline.
  • Historical data for the period after Q1 2001 including Hydro Tasmania’s non-major storage levels (GWh) and hydro yield (GWh) can be found in the model file.
  • Forecast yield for the current quarter can be found in the model file.
  • More detailed data about non-major storage levels can be found in Energy storage - historical data

Non-regulated prices

Non-regulated contract prices can be offered to authorised counterparties that have agreed to Hydro Tasmania's terms and conditions.

Please see below for this week's non-regulated offer prices and volumes.
