Powering Tasmania for generations
We operate one of the most complex hydropower systems in the world, with 30 hydropower stations and 54 large dams. We also operate 2 hybrid energy power systems on the Bass Strait islands, a gas power station, and we own a 25% share in 3 wind farms.

Our first hydropower station was built more than a century ago – and we kept building hydropower stations into the 1990s.

Many of our power stations were world-firsts when they were built. Today, we maintain and upgrade them to world-class standards to keep Tasmania's electricity supply reliable and secure.

Use the quick links in the navigation bar above to explore each of our power schemes in more detail.
