Despite the challenges of COVID-19, Hydro Tasmania has delivered an outstanding operating result for the year, with a strong profit of $154 million (54 per cent above budget) alongside record results on safety and increased levels of community support, all documented in its 2019-20 Annual Report.

Hydro Tasmania is celebrating Gordon Dam’s 50th anniversary, marking a major milestone in Tasmania’s hydropower history. On 25 November 1974, the final bucket of concrete was poured at Gordon Dam in the state’s southwest, creating the biggest arch dam in Australia.
