Queensland bulk water authority Seqwater has appointed global engineering and infrastructure advisory firm Aurecon and specialist power and water consulting firm Entura to support the Sideling Cree.

There are rolling schedules of maintenance and outages planned years in advance, which often take more than a year to complete. But even though we’ve been doing this for decades, there are sometimes still a few surprises in store.

This is an amazing story of survival in the complex universe that exists in the fresh waterways we manage. It’s not to be confused with the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy which is a completely different story in a much larger universe.
