Re-energising an 85-year-old hydropower icon The Tarraleah hydropower scheme in central Tasmania is one of state’s oldest. With some parts of the scheme more than 80 years old, we’re looking at options for its future. The station has been given another 30 years of operational life, thanks to a two-year $30 million refurbishment.
