Visitors to Poatina should boil all water before using it for:

• drinking
• cooking or food preparation
• making ice
• preparing baby formula
• brushing teeth

Bring water to a rolling boil with a continuous stream of bubbles. Kettles with automatic shut-off are suitable. After boiling, store water in a clean, closed container.

Drinking unboiled water may cause illness, particularly for pregnant women, infants and young children. There is no increased risk for pets.
