Waddamana Heritage Site and Highlands Power Trail
Go back in time to experience some of Tasmania’s most important industrial heritage and learn about the history of hydropower. The Waddamana Power Station Heritage Site is a unique day trip from Hobart or Launceston – and you can enjoy travelling the Highlands Power Trail on the way.

From October to April, open every day, 10am to 4pm From May to September, open Wednesday to Sunday only, 10am to 4pm (closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Good Friday and open from 12.30pm on Anzac Day) |

There are no catering facilities at Waddamana, so bring supplies and relax at the picnic and barbecue area. |
| Accessibility |
As an old industrial site, you may encounter uneven surfaces and varying floor levels, protruding objects and steep staircases. Please take care as you explore. |
