National Science Week is back in August 2025. Hydro Tasmania will be attending the Festival of Bright Ideas in Hobart, Big Science Gig in Smithton and an event at HIVE in Ulverstone.
Work exposure events are offered to students in Year 10-12 in Hobart (27-28 May & 10-11 June), Launceston (3 June) and Burnie (29 & 30 July). These 1 or 2 day events will give you a taste of career opportunities and what it is like to work at Hydro Tasmania. You can register your interest in attending one of these programs by emailing workexposure@hydro.com.au
Girls in Power is a career exposure event for girls in grades 9 and 10 that will demystify careers in the power industry, develop confidence in skills and abilities, and inspire interest in STEM fields that have traditionally been for the blokes. Girls in Power in Hobart will take place on the 2nd and 3rd of September 2025. Girls in Power Burnie will take place on the 9th and 10th of September 2025.
