Application instructions

Your application must include a resume and cover letter. Tell us about any relevant experience, the skills you have or are working towards and why you are the best candidate for the role, ensuring you address the criteria listed below.


Tell us about…

  • Why you want to work for Hydro Tasmania and what about the trade specifically interests you
  • Or show us photos of your practical and hands-on experience, for example, if your hobbies include tinkering with your car, woodwork, welding, pulling apart radios/computers, etc
  • Your experience balancing multiple priorities including work and study
  • The thing you are most proud of achieving or have excelled at (it might be mastering an instrument, winning a competition/award or simply preserving or pursuing something you are passionate about)

You will have completed year 10 and hold or be working towards a current driver's licence. It is desirable to have completed or working towards completion of a Certificate II in Electrotechnology or Engineering Pathways. We will also require you to complete health assessment and background checks.
