Sponsorship criteria and how to apply

Hydro Tasmania assesses proposals against the following criteria:

• Does the sponsorship complement Hydro Tasmania’s strategic business objectives and its corporate image?
• Will the sponsorship reflect the values of Hydro Tasmania and its desire to be a responsible corporate citizen?
• Will the proposal engage and benefit the Tasmanian community?
• Does it have the potential to involve our staff and their families?
• Does the proposed partnership have the potential to damage or harm Hydro Tasmania’s brand and reputation? 

Hydro Tasmania does not generally support the following type of requests:

• Individuals
• Sporting clubs
• Individual schools
• Commercial enterprises
• Interstate travel, conferences and tours
• Religious groups

Applications for support must be in writing.  We will assess your request and respond in writing whether or not a proposal has been successful or declined.

Successful applicants are required to sign a formal agreement with Hydro Tasmania.

The Sponsorship program is managed by Hydro Tasmania’s Public Relations group.
