Community organisations that we have continued to sponsor for a number of years include the Cancer Council of Tasmania and Camp Quality. Other community contributions are made through our staff programs.
Cancer Council of Tasmania
Hydro Tasmania has continued as a support sponsor for the Cancer Council of Tasmania’s Relay for Life for several years. Throughout Tasmania our staff are actively involved in fundraising and participating in the Relay each year. Support is also provided through the support of the annual Gala Ball and participation in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.

Camp Quality
Camp Quality Tasmania provides ongoing support for Tasmanian children and their families living with cancer. The cornerstone of Camp Quality’s program involves camping and respite holidays, relying on a large number of volunteers to become companions to these special children.
Hydro Tasmania provides significant support each year to fund an annual volunteer training weekend, ensuring that the children receive the best support possible.
Many of our staff volunteer in various roles and activities for Camp Quality.
Community support through our staff programs
Hydro Tasmania also provides support to many community groups through the activities of our staff. Our Employee Donation Scheme enables staff to apply for donations to support the community groups and volunteer work in which they are involved outside of their normal working roles. This scheme reinforces our commitment to supporting our employees and the community.
