Hydro Tasmania’s hydro-power scheme is an integrated system of 28 hydro power stations, numerous lakes and over 50 large dams. We provide peak power in the National Electricity Market.
We maintain and upgrade our assets according to our strategic plan to keep our system working in optimal condition so that they will continue to function into the long-term future.
We manage our water supply and storage to ensure the sustainability of our operations. We work closely with the communities and stakeholders where our facilities and assets are located to meet needs for agriculture, other industries, environment and recreation.
