The Hands On Energy Discovery Centre is an educational venue owned and operated by Hydro Tasmania.
We're here to encourage our visitors to embrace environmental responsibility, sustainability and energy efficiency.
The Centre aims to promote the benefits of renewable energy to the broader community by providing guided tours and hands on activities for students of all ages.
As well as supporting Hydro Tasmania's strategic and business direction, the Centre has links with school curricula and liaises closely with the Education Department.
Hydro Tasmania is a renewable energy electricity generation and consulting business, Transend Networks Pty Ltd owns and operates the electricity transmission system in Tasmania, and Aurora Energy is the retail and distribution arm of the Tasmanian electricity industry..
Core vision
The Hands On aim is to make learning fun. "High tech" displays combined with "hands on" exercises attract thousands of students each year to the 'Hands On' Centre. |
