This Annual Report covers the financial year 1 July 2006 to 30 June 2007. In this report, we have integrated our former Sustainability Report and Annual Report into the one Annual Report of our performance on a range of social, environmental and economic issues.

The previous report for 2005/06 held the Sustainability Report as a distinct section. While the report is still structured on the basis of the nine Hydro Tasmania sustainability elements, it attempts to break down the distinction between the dual requirements of our Sustainability Policy and the Government Business Enterprises Act 1995.

First and foremost this is a report to the Parliament of Tasmania, required by the Government Business Enterprises Act 1995, and through the Parliament to the community of Tasmania, to whom Hydro Tasmania is ultimately accountable.
