Lake Pedder Chalet

Do you want to experience Tasmania's wildside?

If you are visiting the rugged south-west of Tasmania the Lake Pedder Chalet is a must visit. This picturesque accommodation on the banks of Lake Pedder is your gateway to the south-west.

At the Chalet there is information about what life was like living in a hydro village, plus information on the famous Gordon Dam. The Gordon Dam wall has a walkway which is open to the public, and if you are interested in abseiling you can arrange to do the world's highest commercial abseil through Aardvark Adventures >

For booking enquiries, please contact the Lake Pedder Chalet direct on (03) 6280 1166.

Please note: as the Lake Pedder Chalet is currently accommodating and catering for approximately 100 people working at the Gordon Power Station, we regret to advise that the Chalet operator is unable to serve meals to other visitors. The work is due to finish on 31 October 2014, after which meal services will return to normal.
