Our three year graduate program will provide you with development opportunities and a wide range of experiences which we think will help shape you into a well rounded professional.

What you will be doing:

  • Rotations through different technical experiences
  • Developing your ‘business skills’ like teamwork and leadership
  • Working with mentors to take advantage of their wealth of knowledge and experience
  • Plus become a member of professional associations and the chance to get involved in social activities.

What we want to see in you:

  • The ability to work in a team, but also be able to push yourself as an individual
  • Being able to quickly adapt to new environments
  • A great communicator – written, verbal and interpersonal
  • Be customer focused – listen to the needs of our clients and deliver
  • And the practical one – that you are able to work full time in Australia.

2013 graduate program

Applications for the 2012 graduate program open on 9 March 2012

In 2013 we are on the lookout for:

  • Civil Engineers 
  • Electrical Engineers 
  • Mechanical Engineers 
  • Analysts
    A tertiary qualification in a quantitative discipline (e.g. commerce, economics)

 

What happens after you apply:

  1. Applications can be submitted between 9 March 2012 and 5 April 2012
  2. Short listed candidates will be selected for interviews, applicants will be notified by 1 May 2012
  3. Selected candidates undergo a individual behavioural interview with a panel of three Hydro Tasmania employees, interviews start on 7 May 2012
  4. Reference checking conducted with candidate referees
  5. Offers made to successful candidates from 25 May 2012

  • Cover letter including a statement addressing the selection criteria (on the last page of the Position Description)
  • Your resume
  • Your academic transcript
